A woman has reportedly poured hot soup on her fiancé after he allegedly asked her to leave their hotel and prepare food for him and six of his friends.
According to the woman, her fiancé proposed to her earlier that day, but their celebration reportedly took a dramatic turn after he complained that food at the hotel was too expensive.
She said he subsequently asked her to return home around 7 p.m. to prepare food, including fufu from scratch, for seven people.
The woman said she tried to explain that the journey and cooking would be stressful given the time, but her fiancé allegedly insisted that she comply.
“I tried to let him understand how late it was and how stressful it would be for me, but he said I shouldn’t disgrace him in the presence of his friends,” she recalled.
She eventually left the hotel around 8 p.m. and returned about three hours later with the food.
According to her, she prepared fufu herself for her fiancé but bought fufu for his friends, a decision that reportedly sparked another disagreement.
She said her fiancé questioned why she had not followed his instructions, leading to a confrontation that escalated before she poured hot soup on him.
The woman also revealed that she had bought the engagement ring herself, saying she initially wanted to throw it at him during the argument.
“I wanted to throw the ring at him but couldn’t because it was gold and I bought it myself,” she said.
She alleged that the dispute continued the following day when her fiancé visited her residence and threatened her. According to her, her brother was present during the confrontation.
The woman further claimed that the man’s mother encouraged her to remain patient and submit to her fiancĂ© despite her previous complaints about the relationship.
Weeks later, she said she returned to her fiancĂ©’s home with her brother to retrieve belongings she had purchased.
She eventually moved away from her residence, alleging that the man continued to stalk her after the relationship ended.
